Walk down Aa Strandvej and turn left following the field road through the woods. After you cross Helnæsvej you can continue walking the field road through the wood that will lead you to the old Gatekeeper House at Ege Alle. From here you can continue of Ege Alle, cross Helnæsvej and get back to Slots Alle passing the old Water Mill.

On your way you will also pass the gate to the Old Hagenskov Castle that burned down in 1741. You can still se the rests of the old dungeon that is so old that it is known to have kept the famous Danish Bishop Jacob Erlandsen prisoned in 1259 when he fell into disfavor with the king.
Note that the shortcut through the woods that we call the “jungle path” is really the old track of the turnip train. It is a nice adventurous walk, but not easy accesable in the summertime due to vegetation.
